It is my great honour to share that Sri Kanchi Sankarachariyar Vijayendra Saraswati Swamigal personally entrusted me with the divine task of preparing accurate Panchanga calendars for cities around the world for the benefit of devotees and Indians living abroad.
Each city’s calendar has been carefully computed based on local sunrise, sunset, and time zone — ensuring precise timing. Because of time-zone differences between countries, the very beginning date and the total number of days in a Tamil month can change from city to city.
Many people unknowingly use Indian Panchangam, just by adding/subtracting the time difference in other countries, which can lead to mistakes in performing rituals, as sunrise, sunset and day length vary greatly across regions. For example In places like Europe daylength changes from 9 to 15 hours across the year, making the Rahukalam, Auspicious times duration different each month.
To preserve the correctness of our traditions, the 2026 World Tamil Panchanga calendar has been created for more than 20 major cities worldwide including London, New York, Sydney, Dubai, Toronto, Tokyo, and Paris, each following its own local celestial timings.
